    • Then the hair strand grows with the help of nutrients.
  • Catagen

    • Duration – Few days or even a few weeks.
    • During this period the bulb detaches itself from the DP which stops the supply of blood. Then the strand of hair will move upwards slowly and then the follicle pushes it out by shrinking itself.
    • Now the hair strand will still be attached but can be dislodged during daily activities like brushing hair or scratching the head.
  • Telogen

    • This stage is also commonly known as the resting phase. Follicles hardly go through any activity during this phase. But underneath the hair follicles, the anagen phase begins which will result in losing telogen hairs. One might lose around 150 telogen hairs daily.
